Thermodynamics: Basic concepts-

energy; enthalpy. First law of thermodynamics and law of conservation of energy, basic
thermodynamic processes for ideal gases. Second law of thermodynamics, Carnot
cycle, entropy, various processes on T-s and H-s planes. Ideal heat. engine
cycles-SI and CI engine' cycles, principle of operation of SI and CI engines.
